What did you do in the end @wurlycorner?wurlycorner wrote: I'm organising a stag do on November 22nd.
I have the day time activity sorted, but need to find a rock nightclub or decent bar or whatever, for the evening entertainment.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

All the planning went to jobby.
Everyone took so damn long to come back to me that we ended up losing the day time activity that I had planned and I had to change absolutely everything...
Moved it all to East London, bowling/drinking at All Star Lanes (including enjoying watching the lane play itself for 2 1/2 rounds!
) then cocktails/drinks in Smiths in Old Smithfield's Market (do like that bar
) and @Donald would be very impressed at their range of Gins! Then Curry in Brick Lane, then cleaning up Vom'd Phall in Brick Lane with the assistance of some PCO's, then onto The Old Blue Last for a gig night and more drinks, then onto Be At One in Monument for more cocktails, then 3/4 hour trying to get a cab in the rain, then back to the hotel...
And that's where all written evidence of the night ends in order to protect the groom from severe embarrassment!

Missed the first band at the gig, the second band might have been quite good, but they were a typical young band (think it's impressive to make as much noise as possible with their guitars and drums, rather than to let you hear the vocalist)
The last band, Beverley (a trio, from the states) were excellent. Lead singer could a) sing very very well, b) play the guitar fantastically well, c) be heard, d) had good songs. Unfortunately they only did a short set.
I would happily see them again.
The sound system was awesome.
