We are going to see if the specialist horsevan insurer we use for the van will cover it. I had kinda forgotten the JDM tax that gets put on everything

I had a quote from prestige keep moving Of £644, I have renewed my policy again with Chris knott even though they were more expensive At £705. Prestige I found to be a waste of time though as they would not tell me what the payout would be should my lude be a total loss stollen or caught on fire, I have a 3k agreed value with Chris knott. How can anyone decide on what insurance policy to go for if an agreement value can't be agreed.

damn good point. in my experience come the time they will probably ask you for market proof that thats what the car is worth.
I was lucky for the red one as there were three type S for sale at the time
seriously, three all at once between 2800 and 4900 so I had plenty of leverage.

Adrian Fuckks are great (cheap), until you need to make a claim, then they show their true colours. Utter crap.
To cut a long story short, I drove my first Prelude into a ditch during January 2005, no other parties involved, totally my fault. Unfortunately, it was insured by Equity Red Star through Adrian Fuckks. It took them 3 months to pay out. I was repeatedly fobbed off with excuses and blatant lies by both the insurance broker and the insurance company themselves. Frequent excuses included "it is in the hands of their engineers", "it is in the hands of their technicians", "we will be in contact to make an offer" and "we are evaluating the damage to the vehicle" even after they had declared it a total loss. They gave the impression that they didn't know what was going on and there was a lack of internal communication. On two occasions, they also misplaced the documents I sent them. After 2 months of futile telephone calls with the brain dead useless morons, I got sick of it and my Dad done the rest of the calls from there on (pretending to be me). After agreeing a settlement figure, they still persisted in messing me around.

Best insurer to claim on so far is direct line but they wont insure Import Type S anymore

I should know tomorrow if the equine insurer will cover it and if they will do an agreed payout in a total loss. Wish me luck

They sorted out the black lude in quick time and the inspector doubled his offer to 5k after I told him to go research the type S. One day later he's back...
great service but insurance is worse than catholic priests. You never really know if you got one thats going to bend over backwards to help you or bend you over backwards and help himself till it really counts and then its too late to back out.
