Here's a couple we've got that might be of interest:-
1960s (?) marketing ashtray for Theunissen, a heating and plumbing company in Germany. It's gunmetal with the 'ears' silver soldered in place.

Not marketing, but has a world map stamped on it. Black bakelite, sheet brass and sheet steel. Pressing on the shiny brass bit opens the middle.

Those are very nice @Sailor. I love the Theunissan one. Very elegant, you obviously have a good eye. I take it you're a bit of a collector too then?
Just thought. I should have commissioned you to err, 'liberate'
a few ashtrays on your last 'A to Z' jaunt. I bet you came across some real beauties. Damn, there's an opportunity missed.

Went to the flea-market on Sunday for a mooch and came away with these four crackers. The Johnnie Walker is very nice and it's made by 'Wade'. The 'Grant's' one is ceramic although at first glance, it looks like it's glass. The 'Old Parr' one is extremely heavy glass with a fabulous raised dimple underside. I have no idea what 'Car2aPile' is (maybe a car crushing company) but I like the look of it so it went into the bundle. Total outlay with steely negotiation, seventeen quid the lot. Hope you like them.

Thanks for looking.

My dad used to smoke like a train & used to collect
Embassy vouchers to get things from the catalogue.
How many of you remember these?

It would be cool if you could find some Simon

Cool collection, my favourites are all the strangely shaped ashtrays, like the camel one.
