I work in the Steelworks at Teesside, work as parts procurement specialist...........ok a buyer, started there just over 15 years ago as a labourer, spent 8 years on the shop floor, ended up as semi skilled plant fitter, then moved into the office side of things, maintenance planning then onto purchasing.

I'm an Engineer.
Used to work in the Manufacturing industry (in a plant that made Optical Fibre near crunchy as it happens...) then moved into the Rail industry. Various management roles in and around depots maintaining trains (there's a few of the members on here that if they've ever travelled by train, will have had their lives in my hands
) and just moved into consulting.
