What I meant was what can actualy get bent? Just difficult to comprehend what can bend really, given that basically all of the shaft is up inside the bottom of the strut and below that is the ball in the socket

I will post up a pic once it has been changed over but I assume it is the angle of the shaft in relation to the ball on the end. There is a maximum angle the shaft of the ball joint can move to. Due to my whole wheel assembly moving backwards in the wheel well the angle of the ball joint was exceeded and so the shaft bent.
I had just assumed it would be the OS front putting marmite in the butter, as that's where the impact was.honda-hardy wrote:If it's twitchy at high speeds then that is more than likely the rear alignment.

Thanks Buddy I will take you up on your kind offer when I feel better, I am not to good at the moment. It would be nice to put a face to the name.honda-hardy wrote:i thought it could be due to the double bottom ball joints throwing the caster angle compared to a standard vti.
paul, your only in bristol bud. pop down to chippenham and i can get your alignment checked for a tenner cash in hand to the fitter. they use the hunter alignment system. although if your car is lowered then the camber angle could be causing the inner wear.
youll get a print like this too.
just an example

I take something for it.
