^^ an LSD 4th gen, if you will :) ..I haven't driven ATTS, sounds like more electrical controlling wizardry to me - but I don't like traction control either.

My view is, if you need fancy electrics to sort you out mid corner, you're doing it wrong! :poke: :poke:

RattyMcClelland wrote:Whats all this power limiting nonsense. You lot says it puts you off buying a Type S yet your still running stockish power on your other Preludes, so if you actually bought a Type S would you then add power. I am. Im currently close to 230bhp. When remapped a hell of alot more.
There are only a few cars on here running more than 250bhp. You can run as much power as you want in a Type S without issues. You cant run high amounts of torque though. But when i say that i mean like 10psi off a turbo power and at that point i would be worried about ATTS but our amazingly stong ringlands.
Trust me when i say power isnt an issue with ATTS cars, For uber high power then yes but they that defeats the point of a fine handling FRONT wheel drive car.

Onto the ATTS any good debate. You cant have an opinion until you have tried it. Simple as.
I like it, i like it alot. I will like it alot more soon.
This is the best statement in here for a REAL argument against the power limitations point in all fairness. My power goals on a Type S, 'might' start to push it. But like Scott says, it'll take a lot of torque which you'll only get on a decent psi turbo build.

Mudgey's setup 'if ever fitted to a H22A/ATTS combo would also start to push it. But his is a point where the whole engine has been replaced to run that supercharger setup so not really a point to kick back at ATTS and power limitations IMO.

I can't help but think (personally), that it's a complicated, heavy system that I wouldn't have a clue where to start repairing if something went wrong. Simple works for me, no assistance apart from an LSD would suit me better for taking the car on track. But I havn't driven a Type S no, just my view - doesn't make it right or wrong. As some have pointed out about sheep and blowjobs with condoms on, it's not for everyone, but some people like it... :?
Not me of course! But I can't speak for everyone!

You made your mind up before you posted Ted. I cant even see why you asked the question. let alone in the way you did. Adversarial and antagonistic.

ok we all like preludes we all also know that Honda put all their new tech into the lude and made it work before moving it down the line to lesser models like civics  or not.
The Atts seems like a great system its just a pity the obd2 cant be chipped if it could we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.

But it can be piggy backed which will net you the same results.

yeah I suppose so but a piggyback has more limitations than a standalone but will still suffice for any build on here
