I went to see a car for Mrs Nitin and really liked it. It's small a Honda Logo, with a nice lip kit and has some simple mods etc etc.. Me and the seller agreed with a price but the car is in Birmingham and I'm in London. :?

Any recommendation of bring it back to London? I can insure it for one day on temp cover but then it won't have road tax etc? I can get it shipping via car delivery but that's around £220. Any other recommendations?

Does it have mot? Is it sorn'd?

Failing that, if you have breakdown cover (like I do) I'm sure I've read somewhere about people going to pick up a car and then phoning their breakdown telling them that they've broken down (make sure there's a really obscure fault - enough for them not to be able to fix it roadside...removing something might do the trick) and then they'll recover you. Again...only heard of that being done...not actually done it myself

Are you not planning to use it after you've bought it? :?
I would just buy it, insure it, tax it, drive it back... Keep driving it?
Road tax on that thing must be cheap, surely?

Today I decided to go to a local hill climb event called Noosa Hillclimb, held on a 1.5km section of closed road..

As you can see there was some really cool cars and I now realise that these Aussies will put a V8 in anything hah

I had a feeling they did a v8 version, this one sounded like an LS v8 which is from a corvette but may of just been standard then, still cool as..

Today I returned a car I'd hired to get four of us home from Ipswich (one way). We'd moved the boat from the Solent for the winter and the trains plus replacement bus service back to Hampshire were going to cost oodles.

The car? A Passat diesel. Not my kind of thing, although I did appreciate the 60 mpg.
