Can't buy Cat B cars back I believe because they have to be destroyed after parts recovery, so has to be handled by a licensed premises.

Yea wurly's right, wishing i just stripped it now as insurance already playing funny! Dont even have a value from there assessor. I know its not coming up as a motegi model but how do i prove it was? I'm sure from memory there was some registration errors on motegi models.

Nick was a tanabe catback so worth a bit of £'s

I don't know how much it will help you newkid, but my Prelude is Motegi in the log book but has none of the parts. IDK how one would go about presenting that as an argument though :? All the Motegi stuff is easily bought and/or removed.

Maybe I am an old cynic but have you a no claims discount they are going to stuff you with for this? Dont forget if they take the car they will get at least £200 from the scrapman. Also when you come to try and insure a replacement watch you premium rise.

Good luck anyway I have a feeling you are going to need it buddy

I have protected no claims so hopefully the premiums wont go up to much but yes I can see me being stuffed, excess is only positive at £100

Well chased them up and got a surprise, car got valued at £962 minus my £100 excess so been told I'll be receiving a cheque for £862. Makes me wonder even more if the car was valued at that why its a cat B :?

Hopefully get the money by end of next week so I can start looking for a new motor ;)
