I stand with Merc. My days of Military service are behind me. What pisses me off is the get out of jail free letters sent to the IRA scum. I would fight for this country again if it was in danger of being invaded(if I was 40 years younger) but now no thanks and I would try and persuade my stepsons not to either.
On another note I watched the bodies being returned to the Netherlands and I must admit I chocked up at that and the dignity given to them.

I admire the Dutch for the quiet and dignified way they have handled this awful event. Had it been 190 odd Yanks I wonder how much of pro Russian Ukraine would be left standing by now?

People need to stop pissing about and actually do something to put Putin and his cronies back in their box.

If nothing else, why doesn't NATO put a peace keeping force in along the Ukraine/Russian border ffs!

This is a prelude to a new USSR moving into all its old territory. Europe is weak, poor and divided, usa is consuming itself from the inside out and china is next door, doing well and still communist.

The world stage will change given half a chance.
