Famous Musical and Movie Duos Quiz

Post by simonc » Wed Apr 16, 2014 4:58 am

Right, test your knowledge of famous pairs in this little trawl through the archives of my addled mind. No Googling please, just see if you can drag the answers up from the furthest reaches of your mind without resorting to t’internet. Off you go then, two by two…

1: This duo sang about the B-29 bomber that dropped the first atomic bomb. Song title and group name please.

2: War is over, if you want it.

3: Somethin’ Stupid. (There are two pairs of answers here. One answer is for the more err, mature members of the forum, t’other is for the younger whippersnappers. Either will do but if you can get both then the Milky Bars are on you!)

4: Maverick and who?

5: They’re on a mission from God.

6: Yes sir, they could boogie…

7: Richard and Karen

8: Craig and Charlie Reid

9: They sang about Mrs Robinson trying to seduce Benjamin.

10: Name the one person common to all these duos:
A: Yazoo, B: The Assembly, C: Erasure

11: Kevin and Lol

12: They wouldn’t lie to you, baby.

13: They recorded “The Ballad of John & Yoko”

14: Almond and Ball.

15: They were singing about living on the ceiling in the 80’s apparently. Daft Puddings.

16: Mr McFly and Dr Brown. Names the movie(s)

17: This Scottish duo were ‘Looking for Linda.’

Apologies that I can’t keep an eye on this in real time as it were, but stuck out here in t’tropics, I’m + 7 hours from Blighty. Good luck and I’ll see how you’re doing and perhaps put you out of your mind-bending misery tomorrow morning, my time.
