New Years Resolutions... Sort Of...

Post by GOONIESnvrSAYdie » Thu Nov 20, 2014 4:31 pm

Just been giving the Lude a well overdue wash and couldn't help but day dream about my plans for it for the coming year so thought I'd lay out my plans and see if anyone else has any cool plans or even a big build planned :)

1. The wheels will be having a colour change in the new year, I do like the white on white look but it's a pain to keep clean and the wheels came white and could do with a paint and it's a little boring to not change the colour. Keeping the colour under my hat for now but that will be my first mod of the new year :)

2. I'd like to add a rear upper strut brace and do some engine bay tidying. Looks a little dated at the moment. Rocker cover especially.

3. The engine will have to come out at somepoint. Tidying it up will probably tie in with this. Needs to come out to replace the balance shafts. While out I'll be having the piston sleeves done to cure that Vtec smoke. Maybe updating a few other bits while out.

4. Money providing I'd like to replace my head unit and spend a little on upgrading the speakers. Maybe even a little boot build. Nothing major.

Quick pic after today's wash :)

Nice Lude!!
I've got a fair few plans.... Or new year resolutions.

1. Lude garaged up to maintain its currently being sprayed body
2. Refurb brake callipers and paint
3. New front discs and pads
4. Braided brake line install
5. Start engine bay tuck - wire tuck to start with, then possibly moving onto the full lot
6. Rocker cover refurb - think I'm going to strip it back to bare and have it shine!!
7. Finally fit the strut brace to the Lude
8. Wire up interior door speakers correctly (currently taped by previous owner..... )
9. New stainless steel exhaust system with twin tailpipe angled exit, keeping it decat. Possibly may have a manifold built at the same time, and go for a 3" pipe.
10. Go to lots and lots of meets and shows!!

She's currently in pieces, but here is a picture anyway.....

My New Year's resolution will probably be to not buy any more cars unless I really, really want them.

That's a nice looking white Lude, by the way.
