Old Honda's in scrapyard

Post by wurlycorner » Sat Mar 07, 2015 10:25 pm

Some surprise findings in the scrapyard I was in today, so took a few snaps and thought I'd post them up;

Basically complete and mint (apart from having another car plonked on its roof) 90's Concerto (or is it a Ballade, I forget...)

What's the rules around taken parts off these cars?
I imagine you find some good gems in there? Wouldn't mind visiting one myself, though I'd probably leave with a trailers worth of parts I think would be useful... :roll:

They vary yard to yard. This is still one where you can take parts off yourself.
And yep that is dangerous for the bank balance and storage space :lol:

A lot of the ones I visit are still operating the remove the parts yourself policy...which I think is great :D

@4th Gen Doug

Do you need any bits off the h23? Like the engine, so you can let that poor old 623 live! :D

Best be quick - I don't reckon they'll hang on to it long.

love it when someone spots interesting finds like these in scrapyards 8-)

my local one/s are good for occasional gems, best one (but also the worst) was about 2 years ago a 4g from europe somewhere turned up with a TV in it :o ... so obviosuly i jumped at the chance of trying to get it but the scrappy owner was a complete gentleman's sausage and insist the lude was untouched for months - then it disappeared one day :evil: :(
