State news agency KCNA said "wicked Japanese imperialists" had "deprived Korea of even its standard time" by changing the clocks during occupation.

The thing is, dictators get things done. (Discuss!)

I've long thought that we either need a benign dictatorship (a good king?) or a responsible anarchy. However, only one of these will actually achieve anything.

Yeah the majority of politicians are toffs who were raised with a silver spoon up their bum hole and have no idea how the average person actually lives, it's a joke!

i really think Charles would be a great king but it will never happen he is too outspoken he was years ahead of his time they all raved on about him talking to plants when he was advocating organic farming back in the 80's

He's an amateur when it comes to political spin on petty items that will capture the attention of the international press.

(ps I don't think that's a decent reason to change your time zone - as said in the article, it will make commerce in the kaessong industrial zone more difficult - on which north Korea is heavily reliant for income) But as the point it... Where does rationality/common sense come into any of it.
