Promoting the Prelude - Archive Articles etc
I have been thinking for some time we should work together to promote the Prelude and also archive any related articles we find on this site somewhere.
I do not know if there are any budding journalists amongst you but we should contact the classic car mags and see if we can get them to do a Prelude expose'!
They may need a demo car and pictures but I am sure we could arrange that.
Happy to be a promo man for the Prelude but would need help!
If we want to see prices improve and therefore make the Prelude worthy of restoration rather than scrapping for parts we need to get the more knowledge and aspiration out there!
Sharing a link below with a US based explanation of the how good the Prelude is and this is the sort of information that we ought to develop and promote!

Works has done a good article about life with a Prelude on the same site.
Ok its about the 5th Gen, but we could put together similar threads for the 4th Gen and earlier versions.
Anybody with me?
Pete

I'll be doing a further write up for DriveTribe, (Prelude Addiction 3 - everything has to be a trilogy now), post Show & Shine at Stoneleigh.
2 previous articles:

https://drivetribe.com/p/prelude-addict ... Sd2F5Eb2jw
Type S posts with decent views, though I am far from a social media expert, (e.g. don't do FaceSlap).

Would like, time permitting, to do write ups on DriveTribe of other Preludes we have here on the forum, providing people are happy with me trying to do some kind of review to showcase their Prelude, (clearly you'd have editorial control). I'd link the article to the LudeGen website and the cars profile.
I've kinda figured out the style on DriveTribe and the various templates allow for polished looking articles. Tend to post the big articles in the JDM tribe which has 40k members. If your post is promoted you get a big bump in the number of views, and one the 'ambassadors' is rather keen on Preludes. Within minutes of posting up Honda Hardy's TypeS it was promoted.
What do you think?

That's my DriveTribe profile, if you scroll down you'll see a lot of Prelude stuff.
I still consider myself a noob and am deeply impressed with the level of work that goes into the Preludes in LudeGen, be it track, tuned, supercharged or OEM. Agree with Pete and think it's worth trying to showcase some of the fine metal we have in LudeGen.

Two thoughts:
1. Car magazine ran a feature on Type Rs some time ago, covering the range.
I still have the email address of the lead journo and would be happy to propose something, provided that we could offer a decent range - including all generations.
2. Classic & Sports Car seems increasingly happy to deal with 'modern classics' (eg: the July issue has the Clio V6).
Again, if we can offer a range, I could write to the editors.

Have noted your comments and ideas guys.
I have a family birthday bash this weekend (80!) so will be back on the case on Monday.
How do we fix up a file/archive for Prelude related articles and promo's?? That way we can have a source of material we can use.
The drive tribe link I had in the opener contains a lot of technical information about the 5th Gen Prelude I was not even aware of!

This sounds good! Ever to often the prelude is often the forgotten performance car that honda mate it would nice to get recognition of what the car is about and of course the people the own them.

The wiki is an option sure, although I'm never really in it. Think merlin has more experience of using it than me!
