Hi, could do with some advice. There is a 3g h reg white prelude on Facebook advertised at offers 3k. It comes with 1 key and no sh. The sills willll be patched prior to sale (tomorrow I believe) as it was mentioned on the mot history and there is a rust on the drivers rear quarter where it joins with the bumper. That's what I can't see
in the pics as I've not been to see it. Oh and it needs a new windscreen as it has just been vandalised.
It has leather, auto and is an SE.
But was driven 2 miles in 3 years.
Thoughts?
... Thanks for reading...

3k sounds high to me for that. The rear quarter rust alone will be expensive to sort properly. On the other hand these cars are starting to rise in value. If it were me I would just pay more for a better looked after example.

Thanks, I think that is what I'm leaning towards. Appreciate your opinion.
Having had.a redtop (can't remember the engine number) gen 5 what I missed was the effortless steering, and profile of the gen 3. The old Honda's had proper power steering! And unmatched turning circle.
My current BM has 4 ws, and even though the Germans were decades I don't think they bettered it, it is very subtle

It's too much money realistically worth £1500-1750 in it's current condition. Also beware of the quality of work a seller will achieve when it's done purely to make a sale. I personally would want to have the work done myself just for piece of mind.

Thanks for the estimate. I've decided not to pursue this one for the same reasons. Which is probably for the best as I don't know how long this quite patch work wise will last either!

3g's have certainly gone up in price in the last few years now and they aren't cheap, but I'd agree that £3k for a rusty one is too much!

I found it on Facebook market place, incognito browsing as I don't have an account, based in Birmingham. I did try and put a link up but it was getting removed. Had a friend get three context number for me. Will try the link again...

Listing gone unfortunately.
In the pics it looks good, but obviously they aren't showing the areas that are corroded and needed repair, unfortunately.
