Amen to that.

First lude I bought had mud+snow tyres all round.
God knows how I didn't notice when I picked it up (probably because I bought it in a rush 'cause I was completely distracted by the hard on I had over the fact I was actually going to be owning one after all those years lol). Anyway, I thought it drove like absolute jobby so stopped off at a tyre place on teh way back to get a quote on some replacement tyres and they pointed out it had M+S tyres on it.

Wasn't too sad though, they gave me £100 credit for the tyres (they had loads of tread) and I drove out with a full set of Avon ZV3's and a different car :D

I've had a pair of Cooper WeatherMaster SA2's waiting in storage for a couple of years since the last big snow. Finally needed to put them on the other day and they've been great. I've just put a pair on the front since it's just my light civic, and that leave rainexpert 2's on the back.

They're definitely better than the rainexpert, and I'm pretty sure there's no way I could get stuck anywhere, but next time I'll definitely get pure 'snow' tyres, rather than these which are M+S winter tyres (if I can find some in a small enough size)!

Really pleased with the rain experts. My lude is usually useless in the snow. But I've not had any problems so far :)

I actually didn't have any problems at all. I live on the south downs so was constantly going up and downhill but I never came unstuck :)
