Moving credit card balances...

Post by wurlycorner » Tue Mar 12, 2013 5:19 pm

I have 2 credit cards with balances on. Not a huge amount on each but a few hundred quid.
Interest free periods have ended but both have the usual 0% offers on balance transfers.

Wondering whether the timing would work properly if I put in a balance transfer request on both of them (to take over the other ones balance...)

Hmmm... How clever is the credit scoring system I wonder... :hurr:

Thanks for the kind offer, but... Taken me years to get down to where I am and considering I now have no way of paying anything off atm, I'll pass if you don't mind!!!

In theory it should work!

Just check you can transfer the balance from the other card, as you'll find some cards are provided by one provider then you can't transfer balances between them.

PS. You can have mine too - still have the full amount of my PAW invoice from August sat on it

As you only ever seem to buy Bilt Hamber, you probably have an account set up with them directly ;)

It'll be fine, the fact you got approved on the two cards means most likely they are from different providers anyway. You can balance transfer a card into negative credit, so even if one doesn't happen the same day, the other will catch up eventually. Do it, I have in the past, if the offers good, saves the hassle of applying for a new one to put them onto.
