Price to tax a lude?
Hey! How much is the tax on a 2.2 vti (200bhp) for 6/12 months? Iits the 5th gen im looking at on a T reg. cheers

Yeah, it'll be on the old fashioned displacement determined tax. It's in the larger displacement bracket so 120'ish for six months, I've never bought a year at once so don't know how much that is, off the top of my head I think it's between 220 and 240
the exact figure will be avalable on the DVLA website, it changes slightly with each financial year

I reckon vehicle licensing is reaching the point where the government should/will need to offer payment by direct debit tbh. If you look at some of the rates for large modern cars now, some of the rates are over £1k!
and even at around £200 for older vehicles, that's more than some utility bills that offer payment by dd.
(Of course, they could solve all those problems by just removing vehicle licence and putting it all on petrol, which is a far simpler, more efficient and fairer way of doing it in the first place, but that's another argument...)
