Well at least he can be sure the paint has properly dried!

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

why not just put a solar collector in its path and light a few street lamps?

I know you don't mean it literally the way it's written, but...

Nope, but to put a solar collector in the path of the rays (blocking them out) so that you then need to put streetlights in to make it light again?

That would be a bit pointless! So I'm assuming he meant stick a solar panel in and store the electrickery, to light street lamps later on when it's dark.

:?
But maybe he did mean the first thing, after all?
:scaredtoss:

Ok, I've lost the plot now :? This coupled with too much head scratching over piling and possible track movements today, has done my head in.

Sorry guys, I think I asked you to make too many leaps of logic in one go maybe

If you were to place some kind of solar collector/accelerator/photovoltaic device within the arc of the focus from this building you could probably harness quite a bit of solar energy. Energy that could then be used to light street lamps later in the day, heat water, charge your rampant rabbits

As we build taller and taller buildings (I'm thinking 2-4km for residential etc) this could be a very neat way of gathering free solar energy. Rather than melting cars.

if it melts cars then that's some good solar energy,

which begs the question why don't they make some kinda collector and focus this on solar farms?
