Need some coilovers for my 3rdGEN!!!

Post by Abdul_3rdGen » Wed Jul 16, 2014 2:50 pm

I have a 1990 prelude which has just gone in for a full black respray. I'm putting my ek4 vti fanblandes on and I want to lower it. If anyways got any coilovers for sale or can find me something decent on the net for a good price please let me know.

Thanks

Welcome.

:think: Don't think there are that many options for the 3rd gen, but there are some around.

BC do them;
http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applications ... -vs-1.html
£699
http://www.corbymotorsport.com/honda-pr ... -5408.html
£622

A quick search suggests you can get some k-sport's shipped from the US (the UK k-sport dealer doesn't do suspension, only brakes and are extremely unhelpful if you ever contact them about suspension :roll: )
http://www.preludepower.com/forums/show ... p?t=308258 for around
£500

Supposedly Gaz do them as well, but I can't find any online - best to contact them direct. You can get 2nd gen ones direct from them, but they aren't listed anywhere these days, so I'd assume the same is true for 3rd gen?

What about coil sleeves? what are they like? only suggesting as a cheaper option for the time being.

They're actually so bad it's dangerous, there's a very good reason the prices are so cheap! Unless you intend to drive really carefully and slowly, or end up in a ditch, I'd avoid them completely.

What about the lowering springs mate? You can get up to 40mm or custom made ones for less then half price of coils
I am waiting for delivery for my 91'4ws model 35mm.
