4th Gen Wheel Speed Sensor.

Post by EthanH23 » Tue Oct 22, 2013 4:24 pm

As said in the title, need a Wheel speed sensor to cure my ABS and 4WS lights...

Dont know if theres a difference between the models, but just incase, it needs to fit a 1996 H23A2.... The 2.3i Automatic.

The code fault said 'Left side sensor' so im guessing thats the rear passenger side sensor I need!

Thanks :D

Might want to add it's the near side rear sensor you need man! ;)

And just so you know, so long as it's from the correct corner, it can be off any 4th gen (engine, gearbox, year etc. make no difference).

At a push, the rear sensors are interchangeable side-side but there is faff involved and risk of damaging the cable, so best avoided if poss. Front/rear are not interchangeable.

Give the cable bracket bolts a good long soak with wd40 and some good hard taps before you try to undo them, otherwise they will shear off (corrosion round the threads)...
