Booked the hotel. £188 plus around £23 fees at the hotel.

Where did you find the £188 rate? All ones I looked at had gone up to £202.

Might help others booking get a better price

Expedia when I clicked on the link it went cheaper but I still think I pay hotel and local tax fees on the day.

Yeah, there's the local tax to pay at the hotel.

Good work on Expedia, still coming up as £202 for me through them, but as I'm booked now it doesn't matter
