Le Mans 24 Hour - 14/15 June 2014

Post by Gayno » Tue Nov 26, 2013 11:08 pm

This is NOT an official LG meet, just a discussion thread.

I'm going next year with a mate, we've always said we would do it, so next year we are!!

Anyone else thinking of making the trip?

We're staying at an organised campsite, with private toilets and showers, and they put on the catering for breakfast and dinner.

All in we've worked out it's going to cost around £500 each. (based on 2 of us splitting fuel and crossing costs, campsite is per person)

If anyone is interested in further details let me know.

Campsite is £315 per person which includes 4 nights camping (Thursday - Monday), breakfast and dinner each day, Race ticket and free shuttle bus to the circuit entrance (which isn't that far away!)

Eurotunnel is £94 return

Fuel from Worcestershire I've guesstimated and £250 for the round trip.

The £500 figure also includes a hotel in Folkestone on the Wednesday night so we can get the early train on Thursday morning.

My mate offers me a free trip to the le mans classic every year, with his porka club members, but I haven't ever been able to take him up. Maybe next year!

I'm really keen to get along to this sometime soon, although I probably can't afford it this year if its that expensive. How much would you say it cost you going on your bike @mercutio as I might consider doing that if it is less costly!
