BTCC Super Tourers Make A Return: Oulton Park

Post by B00mer » Sat Jan 11, 2014 11:07 am

Fans of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship are set to enjoy the sounds of the ‘90s this year, as the Super Touring Trophy is added to the support bill at Oulton Park on 7-8 June.

Hopefully a good size grid.

Looking forward to it.

Can't wait for the BTCC to start, much better racing than the over-priced procession that is F1!!

Alfa 155 from 1994 (with the black wheels), easily the best looking 90's touring car 8-)

Have to disagree on that one. Btcc used to be excellent, but it's pants now by comparison.

Sorry mate but I've got to disagree with you touring cars is a quality spectators sport so much more to see than a f1 race. You can get up close to the cars in the pits and the fact that the cars can handle a bit if nudging makes a much more thrilling to watch

Not saying it's as good as it used to be, still think it's better that the Vettel show though.

I think the fact that it's not promoted as much makes it better as it helps to get us more involved. Just look at rob Austin he's now sold shares in his team to raise his funds for the next season so it helps everyone feel like they are involved

I prefer the BTCC myself, F1 just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. The F1 cars aren't aesthetically pleasing to me so I struggle to get interested  that's probably a bit of a random complaint I know.

And yeah, a cheeky bit of contact in the BTCC just adds to the fun
