Japfest traffic warning.

Post by honda-hardy » Sun May 04, 2014 10:08 pm

i will just say this. get there early boys and girls. badminton horse trials are on Wednesday 7th May - Sunday 11th May, 2014, you have to drive through castle combe to get to badminton so the roads will be full of horse boxes and spectators for this too.

posted on japfest facebook and this is the response.

Hi Sam. We have been working closely with Badminton, the local police and the councils. A traffic management plan is in place. If everyone follows the signs the traffic will be ok. We will post more information on Facebook and on our website in the coming days.

I saw this a few days ago, but I think it's being blown out of proportion.

The only place traffic is going to get held up is on the A46 just off the M4, other than that it's in two different directions. I think around the circuit will be no different to last year.

There won't be traffic. Last year ran alongside a bigger event and I only queued up for 20 mins at peak hour.

Badminton people are being given maps with avoidance zones. Big circle on a map with japfest logo in the middle of it. I got a contact on the inside..

I agree though. Early start advisable.
