Bludge wrote:So its a veilside front bumper then? awesome, i have had no idea what it was up until now. a few of the members here are sporting the same front, but all with slight variations. Cant find any info on google though, are the skirts veilside also?

Also are you able to tell me where exactly the veilside front bumper is attached to the car? me and paul were gonna take it off last time it needed repairing but couldnt work out how to get it off. i think it would be a lot easier if i could take it off this time as the damage is more extensive.

And yeah it looks smart on your car mate, just hoping it looks ok in black/red!
Not sure what the full name is for the kit but your front and sides are Veilside-like items (likely veilside-replicas), think they are version 1. Invader kit came out later which has sharper curves.

Fitment can be done a number of ways so it's hard to say what needs to be done to get it off. All I had was a bolt on each side near the wheel well to attach the kit to the fender and the plastic screws near the bonnet hinge. Can fit braces (aluminum sheet etc.) to support the lower front end but I neglected this to make it easier to remove the kit. BTW, I can recommend making a bracket for the black widow rear bumper. Mine was rather flimsy so I made this:Image. Light and it gave the bumper more rigidity.

So today i decided to do my rear drop links. what should have been a 20 minute job turned into taking the entire ARB off and finding a garage who would cut the old links off...great fun.

The allan key holes just rounded and that was as far as i could get the bolts off, even hammering a larger size in didnt work.
But new links on thanks to langdon4x4 seems to have cured my back end rattling.
Imagejust knocking left which i think is the shock knock thing. will get around to that soon!

Nex up was the new reea bumper, its on but only being held by 2 screws and 2 plastic fixings. need to drill out along the top by the boot lid which isnt a problem, but couldnt get it to fit over where you would screw in on the side of the wheel arch. gonna try bigger washers but its like the bumper is too small to get over where it should sit.
Pain, but i think it looks pretty good, will look even better when the skirts are done the same colour.

And here are the side arch screws

That bumper definitely suits the skirts and front bumper.
