Finished the little project I was talking about and it turned out to take longer than expected...
I thought I would be done in a weekend, nope
I was done with the boring old grey so decided to paint the rims.
first cleaning, than mark where the weights are positioned on the wheels and remove them, after that time for sanding paper!

(the point of no return)
after that I filled up the rim rash

with filler primer and gave it a second sanding to smooth it al out and get rid of the corrosion in the corners.

The filler primer

after sanding it back again to make it unicorn smooth
now a coat of primer:

Let it dry and after that it was ready for paint, yay!! Decided to go for gloss white since you can't go wrong with black or white.
And now why it took so long... After primer I made the stupid mistake to sand back the last imperfections before paint and did not re-prime them, so:

A lot of swearing
after crying in a corner and drinking away my sorrows I went for take 2:

After repeating the steps above and this time making sure it was covered in primer properly this was the result:

and to score some extra JDM points decided the quality mark needed some black

after clear coat, Finshed!! well chuffed

well almost.. Since I've only got 2 spare rims laying around I was only able to do 2 at a time so this was only halfway trough
Oh did I mention that those spare rims have massive offset and where old driftcar rims?

looked like that for a week
Finally a before and after pic.

and how she looks right now (don't mind the dirty car

)
ps. still does need some tire black
