Yes, lots of mobile AC guys tend to have convertors; the main dealers and Halfords type places are unlikely to now – indeed they probably won't remember what R12 is! I've successfully converted several of my old Jags with R134 with the mobile guys. It's less fuss than you'd think, they just need the right adaptors for their AC gas fittings, and then you're off!
In my opinion all Preludes handle best with the original wheels; Honda had a multi-million pound R&D facility and some of the best chassis engineers around and they would have spent more than a few hours testing all the different combinations! The 4WS system was obviously optimised for the overall rolling radius of the stock wheels, so anything different won't improve it.

Re: my 3g 1991 Auto
Thanks for the info , space, I've always been a fan of my Honda m/cycles as well, its well known in Honda circles that come the late '70's Honda impoverished the m/cycle R+D dept. in favour of the car division, the result being gems like the 3g Prelude and beyond. I'm reliably informed that 3g's were nudging 30 grand in the early '90' when the average Vauxhall was under 10g. Quite a luxury car in its time, and Mercedes money, see my other post, regards your headgasket.
