Considering your barbie and gazeebo has been the last 2 years running Danny, you might as well come and keep them company!

Turns and interior lights

Post by newkid » Tue May 05, 2015 1:40 am

Meet up with @vanzep and we had a very productive day fixing out our dash's and interior lights, we both now have fully working dash lights and interior lights. This includes, ashtray, cig lighter, ignition barrel and drivers auto light up window switch in the green colour as if it left the factory.

Need to thank @wurlycorner for his help with the wiring of the window switch light on preface preludes as this wasn't an option on them and is facelift only so is an excellent upgrade for anyone with a preface. Vanzep has a couple he could sell if any preface people want to do this. Basically means at night you know exactly were the drivers side switch is, I did try get a picture but my phone isn't the best so I will try again with my brothers.

Wiring guide can be found here....... http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/electri ... 15892.html

Vanzep also helped me wire the turn lights back in so they work as turn lights again, now I didn't have the proper bulb holders but for anyone in the same boat there is a solution, cut the circle plug off and replace it with an indicator plug as the indicator bulb holder fits perfectly. I'm currently running mine in amber and I'm unsure whether to get white bulbs or to leave as be, so views on this would be welcomed.

Thanks for your help Michael - its been a while since ive had some of the interior lights working so really pleased with the work we did on both cars yesterday. Its a real pleasure to get some of these niggling little jobs done and out of the way. :D
and of course im pleased that some of my stash of spare parts were put to good use.
The turn lights on your lude are a nice addition and i would just keep them the way they are ;)

Honda courtesy lights

Post by newkid » Thu May 28, 2015 11:13 pm

Won't be everyone's cup of tea but seen these on ebay and decided I'd buy a set, I think they look 8-)

Pretty easy to wire in with already having the door courtesy lights as there running of them so only work when the doors are open ;)
