MOT passed today!! No advisories either.

Emissions were on a NON-CAT TEST...

CO MAX 3.5% 0.83% HC MAX 1200ppm 280ppm

which is down on last years
CO MAX 3.5% 0.98% HC MAX 1200ppm 313ppm

However, my MOT tester stated that the new rules requires any car originally fitted with a cat when new, now needs to have the cat fitted, EVEN if the car is exempt i.e. pre-Aug 92 (J Plate) although the test would still be the non-cat test.

you will always get those numpty's that read that rubbish and take it to mean law ;)

if a car was made pre cat and one never was made for it then there is no way they can make you fit one :P
just for it to appear as if it is there, as people would just fit a hollow cat :D

as a lorry driver i was stopped 3 times a week by coppers wanting to check my tachograph and i never found one to know the laws relating to its use, they all reported me for infringments untill the ministry came back with it was fine
same with mot testers, they all read it they way they want to :(

Thing is they all were fitted with cats new, even a J plate. So I see what the regs/rules are trying to do. However, it will probably have a hollow cat fitted next year or sports cat to stop any arguments.

I also need to chat with dvla about date of first use being Dec 2000 instead of pre Aug 92. I think this was when imported...

Oz Superlegerra alloys recently refurbed by http://www.expressionautomotive.co.uk/ for £220 including tyres removed and refitted. Also had a punture repair included FOC.
Powdercoated silver with a gloss powercoat finish.

For JAE 2013 I had my 60mm Kakimoto N1 exhaust/decat fitted along with brand new DC Sports Ceramic manifold. This is the HHC5029 model with the larger 60mm collector. Its a bit louder than I expected.
