This is an ace thread, Nick. I love the way those wheels have scrubbed up as well. Good for you. ;)

They wouldn't have got to the bottom of most of the issues, tbh.

Thanks wurly :)
Got a set of BC Racing Coilovers to fit - they been cleaned up ready to go
planning to set them just below stock ride height and maybe just a bit firmer on the damping...

just need a 60-80mm C spanner to lock the lower nut
unfortunately there wasnt one supplied with the shocks

fair bit of work went into refinishing the forks and top hats but looks to have been worth the effort
the front springs are only a few months old

Yeah it's always worth cleaning up a part and giving them a paint before fitting it.where did you find these anyway?

I have 60mm shocks and springs to go on my lude which I have painted and cleaned but the semi sensible part of me won't let me fit them until after the winter

Also I have a few c spanners from old civic coilovers I have had in the past.I couid bring them up to you next time I am passing, they might do the job.

The coilovers are the ones that came off @bluejackhustler old silver lude.
I think he will be pleased that ive shown them some tlc and they now have many years of service ahead of them :)
@newkid had them on his lude for a while and fitted some brand new BC front springs - I bought them from him ;)

The BB1 is booked in for its MOT early next week.

feel free to stop by Lewie and bring a c spanner with you 8-)

I think you've tagged me to see if I shout 'I have the C spanner' and I do Nick!
I'm very pleased they're going to be in use still. I only had them for around 6 months before I sold up but in that time they certainly made an impression.
Pm your address and I'll happily send it on to you!!!

Ahh thats great :D Thanks for that
will drop you a pm

Would be a good few years since you bought them and apart from a light refurb and a couple of new front springs thats all thats been done to them - they look like new and the shock body and threads dont seem to have corroded at all unlike some other coilovers&shocks ive seen.
