Lots of stuff done - time for an update
Morning all, lots of little things and a couple of major things to update the profile of my majestic beast out here in t'mystic east.
Firstly, got the driver's door lock fixed. As you can see, the rod thing had snapped completely. Jason (his grubby hand in the photo) fashioned a new one and all is fine and dandy in the lockage department now.

Clean break. Must be my butch slamming of the door. Anyway, all sorted now.

Next, electric window surrounds courtesy of Mr @vanzep. Cheers Nick, they look brilliant.
Driver's side. The little light-up feature is very sexy.

Passenger's side

New bulbs in sunroof switch and spot light switch. (Obviously daytime shot precludes full 1000 watt display). They look nice in the dark though.

Sorry this is such a crappy shot but obviously it's the switch on the left that has a nice orangy glow.

Next, new sunroof in place and leak-free. Nearly broke my back taking this photo!

Smoky/sooty exhaust seems to have cleared after oil and filter change.

All windows now tinted, they did a great job. I can't tell you how much more comfortable the interior is. The knock on effect being that the air-con doesn't seem to have to work so hard so my wet-foot problem is no more.

Got meself a new battery and believe it or not, the brake warning light that used to stay on has now disappeared.

That's all for now folks. Thanks again to the usual suspects for your help, direction and priceless guidance.
She's a beauty.

I just read the whole thread (beats getting out of bed on a Sunday morning) and although your story is wrought with sorrow on your part, there are also oases of joy.
Contained within the emotional roller coaster though are lots of lovely technical insights, tips and pitfalls that are very educational.
So, I'm glad for you that your lovely car is now pleasing you, and I'm sure turning heads in Malaysia. I'm jealous of where you live, by the way!
Handy that they drive on the correct side of the road there too.

Andy

Glad the locking is sorted. That is the rod used to link between the alarm after market solenoid and the original link rod. The clamp in that picture is the one I was talking about. You wouldn't have snapped the rod by slamming the door, probably bent back and forth during installation which weakened it and over time it's fractured.

Night light update
As I'm so bored with the Italian G.P. I've decided to send these shots now... (Update) Hamilton winzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Anyway, to get to full Christmas effect, I've taken some night shots to show my enlightened (geddit?) interior.
I think there's a pnar, pnar, Swiss Toni-eqsue, 'and here's a light to show you where to stick it in' line here.

Bad connection folks - will try again later. Can't get two tabs working to connect to Photobucket and LudeGeneration.

Re: Blue Beauty from Malaysia
@wurlycorner. Thanks as ever Iain. Yes, although I'd like think my Miami Vice stylee door slamming broke it, it is, as you said, a simple fatigue thing.
@alinton. Hi Andy and thanks for your comments. Yes, it's been bumpy but there's been a lot of folks here kept me going. I think I've said it before but I'm in a really happy place with the car now, almost 'stock' and for me, that's a wonderful place to be.
As for Malaysia Andy, well, that's a whole different story. After Najib's proclamation today that the country's problems are because of the 'yellow people', this place has become a tinderbox. Watch this space fella.
