fitted a new inner door seal rubber and replaced some broken trim (flare kick panel and plastic door sill/scuff plate) and the car is now dry. :) i may have got it wrong about the windscreen leaking but it isnt easy finding where leaks are coming from when its so cold and wet.

noticed i have a delimiter chip fitted down at the ecu - never seen one of these before...
Ive replaced the ecu(4 block tcs one) with a chipped one and also fitted a brand new distributor
thought id try running the car on bog standard unleaded petrol and all seems to be good so far

8-) glad the car is now dry! the car should run fine on bog standard unleaded but she will run better on vpower being an import, i hate putting anything else but vpower in either of mine

Cheers Drax.
Im using unleaded as i think thats what the chip has been tuned to run on - im guessing but think ive identified the company that made it being a German Co.
Ive not felt any drop off in performance but will be keeping an eye on it ;)

Here is a link to pics/info on the chipped ecu:

Eliminator chip

Import ludes get a mph/km convertor chip when they arrive in the uk so the speedo reads in mph - when you fit this it restricts your top speed to 112mph and you loose vtec in 1st gear.
You then need a delimiter chip to fix this- its a little black box that is wired in down at the ecu.
Most Preludes didnt get a delimiter chip and ive never seen one before.

On my BB4 it didnt have a delimter chip but had a mph/km chip at the speedo - i removed this and fitted ukdm el dials and fitted a spoon v2 chipped ecu.

Sweet.
Personally I've never noticed any difference running Lisa's lude or my bb4 on super/normal unleaded. May see a little bit on the dyno, but no difference in real world normal driving, ime.

Hang onto that 4 plug tcs ecu - you or I might need it one day! :D

its been heavy rain and stormy weather most of this week and i havent driven the BB1 since last weekend.
Went back to it today and found water in the thrid level brake light, water in the passenger footwell and water in the boot.
Although its not a massive amount of water it is enough to give me some concern.
All i can find is the rear sunroof drain tubes are a bit loose where they push into the grommet/teat thing takes the water out through the body panel. I cleared them again&trimmed the teat bit so it doesnt clog and ive siliconed the drain tubes in and fastened them with a cable tie. With regards to water in the passenger footwell i found the scuff plate was missing one clip and sitting up slightly, now the clip is fitted it sits tighter to the bodywork so less likely to let water push in underneath it.

Ive decided i dont like cars with sunroofs
and i will have to have a look at the front windscreen again but its a mystery as to how the water gets into the high level brake light when the car is just sitting thee not being driven

i dont give up easy but dealing with this is quite depressing - i might need to find some help in pinpointing where the water is coming in
:?

Ive kept the original ecu as it works fine.
I fitted the ecu that has been chipped - but fairly sure it more a chip for economy rather than performance like the spoon chip - thats why im filling up with unleaded as i think thats what it will be tuned to run.Massive saving of 10p per litre over shell v power :)

:( In the boot and in the footwell again is a pain.
When you say inside the high level brake light, do you mean inside the spoiler around the brake light, or actually inside the led bar?
Is it just the rear sunroof drains you've checked, or the front too?
