Quick update to my mod list.

I needed rear brake discs and I thought I just order something cheap as rears dont do that much. Eurocarparts were doing 25% off (now 30%!!! ) so went ahead and ordered Pagid brand discs and pads (apparently they have rust protection coating or something :) ). Parcel arrived yesterday, I open and see some blue print discs and Pagid pads :o
Called ECP this morning to ask for my parts, they were cheeky enough to tell me that they are as good and that I should keep them :x At the end, they are sending Pagid discs to my local store for exchange, my gut feeling says this is not the end yet

To be fair, I've always ECP are absolutely fine with exchanges, no hassle at all, they just do it.
There probably isn't much difference between BluePrint discs and Pagid, but they should supply what you specifically ordered really.

Yeah, I guess both brands are similar. I never heard about blue print before, packaging looks very cheap as well. And I like the idea of rust free discs, time will show :)

I am picking up the discs tomorrow, will see if I get the right ones.

All new brake disks come with a coating of cosmoline or similar to prevent them rusting during storage.
This needs to be removed before fitting, especially where the pads make contact.

It could be possible that Pagid have addressed the rust issue.
If not, you can always paint them yourself. :ugeek:

ECP did not end how I wanted, the replacement parts arrived and they were blue prints again  I chatted with the guy at the shop about this, it shocked when he said "ECP has internal problems and most of our parts come mixed branded, some people return, some keep them" :o - I didnt expect ECP to tell me this  being a man of principle, i had to return the items only that they are not the ones I ordered.

I am wondering now, if blue print parts are good, why ECP try to sell them under different branding and in some way push you to accept them. Now I have this bad feeling about them and even if they are perfect or better than pagid ones, I dont want them

looking arround on the market, everywhere rear discs are out of stop, are you all changing them at the same time?

Not had a problem with ECP like that.

IME you quite often get 'know it all's on counters of car spares shops who speak 'expertly' about how the business operates, when they actually don't have a drokking clue and often add 2+2 and make 3.14...
Never know, he might be right though :D
