Re: BB4 Road/Track lude
Yes the surface is still the same my tyres took a beating .
I've not been there before but from what I understand they have changed the circuit as not aloud on the runway now .

Re: BB4 Road/Track lude
Been a little while since I updated this and a few things have changed with the most recent being not so good .
I'll start from the beginning where I collected some parts ready to get a bit more power from the engine . h22a7 cams , h22a7 inlet manifold and throttle body , p72 ecu with hondata s300 v3 and all pipework and boxes to make a custom 3inch exhaust system .
Booked it in to cpl racing for tuning so just had to fit all the parts and make the exhaust system ready for the big day . Got everything done in time and the day came to head down there . All went well but was abit disappointed that it hadn't made any power over what it had before but the drive home it felt much better and certainly faster .
Now to the not so good news . Whilst enjoying the car it produced an oil leak from the crankshaft seal which has lead to the bottom end knocking
.
Luckily enough I have some spare engines so I will be swapping all my parts onto one and fitting it in the car then getting it dyno'd local to me to make sure AFR's are all good .
I have a track day booked for November at bedford autodrome aswell so now I need to try and find time to get the car done for then .
Cheers Jon

Do you know what caused the problem?
Before was 225bhp 177 ft/lb and after fitting the parts was 223bhp and 171 ft/lb .Drax wrote:thats a big pita![]()
what did she RR at previously and with the new engine?
Obviously can't compare properly as both on different dynos and a couple of years between. Once I fit the other engine and fit all the parts to it I'll be taking it to where it was dyno'd the first time

sorry to hear the tale of woe - its always seems to be a bumpy road when trying to add bhp to the lude
ive seen different dynos give very different readings by as much as 30bhp
anyway dyno figures are only part of the picture - hope you get it all sorted out

yeh taking it to two differant dyno's really wont help you compare figures, you need to stick to 1 dyno. i had this when ive dyno'd mine, been a 20-25bhp differance between dyno'ssi import wrote:Must have been down to the lack of oilvtectom wrote:What a complete pain in the arse!
