Hah I am in Australia now mate, I do have a set in the uk but God knows where now haven't been home for year and half
funny you say about the ambers though, the outer reflector part fell off this morning on the way to work, got no idea how think the screw must not have gone into the little metal thing on the bumper.. Had to leave it all day and go find it after work, thankfully not broken as it made a fair noise when it fell off, thought it'd be smashed to bits...

Been a while since I did much with this as kinda lost abit of enthusiasm with spannering in general, (still haven't put the passenger reflector back in yet ) but had a weekend off work so got on the case with the engine today..

Managed to get the Pistons out, give the cylinders a good honing cleaned everything up, fitted the new rings and shells to the Pistons and rods ready to go back in..

That's the cylinder that had a score, score looks better but there's another mark now hopefully will be ok but I'll check everything is sweet when I put the Pistons back in..







The gasket set looks real good comes with tube of RTV sealer too...

Thanks mate.. Well the bb4 may be back on the road this year as my mum is thinking of getting it on the road for her I am thinking of selling the bits off it now though as it makes no sense to get it all shipped over when I have plans to get a new car this year

Been doing abit on the engine last few weeks and got abit done..

Few weeks ago I finally had the head skimmed, crack tested, cleaned up and went through the tedious job of grinding the valves in



Finally dropped the head back on, torqued down, cams in and new belt on with a new manual belt tensioner...







Then last week I had word that a mate needed some headlights for a 4g he was doing a cash job on and I wasn't gunna sell my preface JDM headlights so I thought I'd fit them and sell my Aus spec lights..



Then someone was interested in buying some lude seats off me so I swapped the better ones out the bb1 I steam cleaned



Also chucked the 3 zebra mats I have in and after all this neither the lights or seats have sold
Oh well it give me the kick up the Arse I needed to get something done with the car itself ha

Whilst I've been on a roll and found some enthusiasm for the old girl again I decided to paint the rocker cover for the new engine.. Quite happy with the outcome





This has helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm pushing on to get this engine in now.. I NEED VTEC!!!!!!
