Reckon we should all find it and lobby Honda UK for an official recall...

No way, don't think anyone has ever noticed that before, wonder if any others sticking calipers were a result of this?

Great work on the brakes though, they look like new (apart from the hole...obviously).

It's definitely a rust issue but it's also possible that some castings are thinner in this area than others - worth checking if you're having problems anyway.

Unfortunately I ordered the wrong pistons and rebuild kits so don't have any pics to post tonight, what an idiot lol. Hopefully brakes int will let me swap them, otherwise I may have some front caliper bits going up for sale shortly...!

Got all four corners on axle stands now ready to strip the rear end down for a quick refurb. I noticed the rear arch group buy is going again so thought I better check the rust spots to see how bad they were getting. Didn't expect my finger to go all the way through to be honest but hope I've caught it before it's spread too far into the sill

That's a bummer on the hole, but does look pretty localised, which is good 8-)

Yeah there are a few other spots on both arches that are nicely bubbled up, I'd imagine my finger would go through them too if I tried but I don't want to hurt her  The drivers side is significantly worse than the passenger side - I've ordered both panels but may get away with only using one for the time being. Worth having the other on standby though, even if it doesn't get replaced now it's only a matter of time until it does need doing..!

I had hoped to leave it another year so I can concentrate on getting it mechanically sound but there's no point doing that if it's going to rust itself to bits in the meantime

No, wait, something wrong there...

Oh yeah... Phil would have turn up in a Prius and Donald would have to come on his bike! ;-)
(if we could even tempt him out of Narrrrrrrrfoolk) ;-) :poke:
