Bit of a Pig but i love it

Post by Turbomick1985 » Wed Feb 05, 2014 6:08 pm

I was in need of a car and was off work for a few days so i said i would go look at this prelude for sale, when i saw it i just had to have it, i didnt check everything like i should of and naturally enough i bought a pig but its slowly but surely getting there
This thread isnt going to be as fancy as most of the Cars on here i dont have a lot of money to throw at it i have to do bits at a time

Image
This was her when i got her home and gave her a clean
I looked over it and there was plenty of things wrong not all major though
*Drivers Door doesnt always Lock/Unlock
*exhaust has hole in it
*Right front Spring broken
* alloy wheels are corroded
*Calipers seized
* Burns a small bit of oil
*discs shitty
*head lights scratched to death
*drivers heated seat doesnt work

1st thing i did was do a service and attacked the brakes
I got Grooved and Dimpled Discs and new calipers fitted to the car they look quite smart
I then got myself some new 40mm lowering springs and stuck them on it
I have used 3M headlight restoration kit on my headlights they look brilliant now
I have fixed my heated seat (a connection was loose behind door card)
I have new 17inch Inovits alloys on 205/45 tyres

This is the car now, coming along nicely

Update 02/03/14
As some of you may know she failed her MOT on emissions the engine was smoking so I had it swapped for a fresher lower mileage one, I got the guys to stick the exhaust on aswell il stick some pictures up when the weather is better

Next on my list is
1 - timing belt and service
2 - try this terraclean thing out
3 - wind deflectors
4 - new bonnet
5 - upgrade head unit and sound system

Looks excellent with those wheels. Black centres and silver lips on a black car - Yum!

I wasn't sure about the spoiler at first but now I like it, I just want to get a front splitter and wrap it in carbon
