JLB's 5G project
JLB's 5G project
I've had my Lude about seven years, it's a 1997 UKDM 2.2vti in silver. It started out as an automatic but it lunched the gearbox three days after I had my engine work complete and fully set up Since the gearbox conversion it's eaten it's way through 2 clutches in less than 1000 miles so it's been sat for a couple of years whilst I've got on the property ladder. I'm now in a position to get it back on the road and I can't wait. I'll post some pics soon but for now here is what I've done to her.
Current Modifications are:

If this works then it's a link to my build thread on ludebehaviour. Apologies if it doesn't I'm still trying to get used to the differences between a laptop and an iPad.

Re: JLB's 5G project
I think it's something to do with the flywheel. I've just sourced a standard one so things can be taken apart and investigated.wurlycorner wrote:Woah, impressive list there! Looking forward to seeing pics.
Why has it got such an appetite for clutches? Just cause they've been standard ones and it's got too much grunt, or is something wrong in the gearbox alignment or flywheel face?
