Re: Bens 5th Gen Iceberg
I've looked into those sockets, but i think this type of locker won't work with those as its so shallow to the wheel. A local tyre place were convinced they could remove it but ended up chirning it to bits with an air chissle so i think my only option is to drill it in the hope it splits... Never did i think i'd struggle with a locking wheel nut
Thanks for bumper trim link, that was one job i managed to get done when i fitted the front coilovers so hopefully i've trimmed enough with the smaller tyre size on

Re: Bens 5th Gen Iceberg
Not working away from home anymore so time to crack on!
Got the locking wheel nut off after much drilling. Wheel has some slight damage and the stud is knackered but thats the least of my worries for now, a new stud will be fitted. Wasn't long before the rear coilovers were on, nice and easy job.
New tyres fitted today on the back so i'll be dropping the rear down tonight (coilovers raised up to stop the massive tyres rubbing before)
Pics will be coming!

If it is one of the the front wheel studs that is knackered it usually requires you to remove the wheel bearing, which is a pain in the ass, well on the 4th gen anyway and I cant see the 5th gen being any different. But there is a way around it. If you get an angle grinder and shave off the front of the knuckle there is enough room to whack the studs out in situ

Unless....... you take an angle grinder and shave off a few millimeters off the front of the knuckle. This will allow you to hammer out the old studs one by one when rotating the hub round, then flip it over and do the reverse to get the new ones back in
Shaving the knuckle:
