Does anyone have a link to a workshop manual for the 5G 2.0i?

I'm inclined to have a go at the cam belt / water pump / tensioner change myself. I've had a quick look in the Technical and Wiki section and cant see any guides.

:? There should be a link to a 5g manual in the wiki :?

If you've found that manual, but it doesn't cover the 2.0, then the engine is the same as the 2.0 in the 4g, so have a look in the 4g service manual instead 8-)

Thanks for the heads up. I used the 3M kit and it worked a treat. Easy, quick process, with excellent instructions. Highly recommended!

Also replaced the front discs and pads with 260mm standard items. A big improvement, and for the moment, that's all the braking power it should need for the road. I'll save the SIR calipers, but might do the upgrade in the future if I don't end up with a 2.2.

The car is just back from the bodyshop with all of the plastics re-painted (front and back bumpers, spoiler, door handles, wing mirrors). Also had the bonnet re-painted, and the drivers side rear wheel arch de-rusted and rear quarter panel repainted.

Also given it a good polish and wax. It's not perfect (the roof and the front quarter panels are a little faded (it's not very noticeable), but it looks infinitely better than it did when I bought the car:

Also replaced the rear discs and pads (which were an MOT advisory last time around).

Couple of final touches to consider:

- The wheels are a little corroded in places. Not bad but it's started. Maybe worth getting those powder coated at the same time as fitting new tyres. Not sure whether to stick with silver or maybe go with white?

- What do we think re. the missing P R E L U D E sticker on the rear bumper? Leave it blank or find a replacement?

Looks good 8-)
I think white would work really well for the wheels.

Looks fantastic.

How long did you leave the paint before waxing?

A couple of days after I picked it up. Probably about 5 days after it had been painted. The bodyshop suggested I do it straight away.

 I thought you were meant to wait a good time (month or so?) before waxing fresh paint, because it still gasses a bit for a while after being painted? :?
Or have I got that wrong?
