Thanks. Would be great if you can reply to my message.

The lip kit arrived in good condition. One of the side skirts has a small split but this is fixed now. It was not the shipping company fault.

I ordered the OEM style front lip. Have to wait another week for it to arrive. Then all the stuff will be send to the paint shop.

Which front lip would you put on the car - Motegi or OEM??

The front lip drama.

First I bought an aftermarket PU lip from Fullcartuning.nl
They have sample pictures on their website where the lip looks really good.

Unfortunately the real product is a peace of junk. I decided to send it back to the Netherlands. Now they refuse to refund the full amount. Scammers alarm!
Here is a pic of the lip:

I am so happy that I finally found a genuine HONDA lip from a JDM part out car a few weeks ago. The lip arrived yesterday in very good condition with all mounting brackets.
With this last peace the lip kit is now complete.

Bad luck on the front lip. What was wrong with the Dutch one? Looks ok in the pic?

Everything was wrong with it. Shape, side lines, trimming, mounting, material ( too soft ) .. with one word - not good.

A crashed donor car was found - H22A5 '98 Prelude 2.2 VTi 162 000 km ( 80 000 miles on the ODO ) manual gear box.

I decided to swap the H22A5 engine and put the manual gear box in my own car.

We also changed the timing belt, the valves cover gasket , engine oil ( 10W40 Repsol ) , gear box oil, clutch ( Daikin 225/225)

Wow only just seen the dials, that's really nice!, good job !
Fullcartuning is a good company, shame to hear they won't refund you.

Nice swap going on! Is it running yet?

yes the car is back on the road. Maybe I will have to change a bearing in the gear box next week. There is a slight noise from the gear box when the car is on neutral. When you press the clutch the noise is gone. This is the only really disturbing thing for now. I still test the car .. the engine sounds good actually..

About the gauges .. I think I am going to keep the automatic gauge cluster because of the color changing RPM gauge needle. This is not an option with the manual cluster and I really like this blue to red color change. I will have to produce another set of dials and I want to make the gear indicator work with the new manual gear box set up.
