Re: BB1 Scrapyard Dog
It was a perfect fit unlike some of the cheaper aftermarket one.
I think you will be pleased with it

Re: BB1 Scrapyard Dog
They still have a few of the tenzo r long arm cold air intake as well - i have one fitted to the BB4 and highly recommend it - bit of a bargain imo

BB1 Scrapyard Dog
after many months i finally got the spare sunroof panel painted the correct colour
i did negotiate a hefty discount
just got to stick the seal and brackets back on and swap the whole thing over onto the BB1

Well done dude.
As a bit of a tip from someone that's done two of these now and learnt from his mistakes first time round...
Make sure the bottom of the seal channel is properly clean from crap/any previous rust particles (that bit I did fine).
Squeeze the PU sealant right into the very bottom of the seal (that's the bit that matters most) and DON'T PUT TOO MUCH IN!
You'll be amazed how far it spreads out otherwise, because of how tight the gap is between the seal and panel.
First one I did, I spent ages running round frantically scraping off bits of sealant before they dried, stuck fast to the fresh paint, as it continued to ooze out

Better weather over the last few weeks has meant some progress has been made:
Newly painted Sunroof now fitted - bit dirty and dusty in the pics
Refurbed oem wheels and new tyres -Decided to give Nexen N Blue HD Plus in 205/55/15's a try - good reviews plus good price
Next up is 2 front wings - ones on the car have quite a few stone chips and a little bit of rust.
The front wings are not new but had been professionally resprayed about a couple of years ago and ive had the time to treat the edges and insides so they should outlast the rest of the bodywork.

BB1 Scrapyard Dog-New Manifold Arrives
I miss the sound of the plm/hytech header and mugen twin loop that went with my BB4 when i sold it earlier this year
so now im down to one car i decided to splash out on a new manifold
The BB1 has oem manifold, downpie and cat mated to a 2.25" middle section is a scorpion stainless with two large silencers and scorpion backbox.
So will have to see what i can use from the existing system - i also bought a 2.5" 3 piece adjustable decat that might come in handy
Will be fitting a new O2 sensor at the same time.

Yep the manifold came from California - the make is DNA - first time ive used ebay global shipping program where customs duty etc is all paid upfront and parts ship out International Priority - took 14 days to get here.
After some double checking it seems the DNA Tri-Y is exact same as the PLM one. However with PLM you get a short section of pipe with the conical flanged collector for the donut gasket so you can use that to mate up to the centre section which is handy.
Since the DNA mani doesnt have this i had to buy an adjustable decat pipe on ebay uk and came from Hong Kong-it took 10 days to get here and no customs duty to pay.
Not bad at £34 delivered.
Ive made up my own spring bolts using a couple of valve springs from an old H22a2 head.
Just got to get someone to fit it all together
