So with today being sunny-ish and warm enough, and with the rest of the week supposedly gonna be sH!t weather, i cracked on with the paintings of the cam cover.

In the end settled for British Racing Green. Plug lead cover will be going titanium grey to match the intake pipe.

Pics don't fully show the colour, its alot better in real life, more sparkly.

I'm sure the missus won't mind opening the oven to find a painted rocker cover in there, baking away at gasmark 6... ;)

She goes mental when i put headlights in the oven to split them open, she would have a heart attack if i put a rocker cover in.

Its sitting in the living room under the radiator for now.

So got the cam cover all fitted up. Still need to do the plug cover to match the intake pipe and also remove the paint from the DOHC VTEC bit. Weathers no so good so will bash on another day. Pics don't fully pic up the colour, but in real life its alot deeper and greener.

If you want to sand back the letters put some masking tape around the letters and get some sand paper on a block and sand away from 180grit to 400.

Thats how i do all my covers.
