Red and green should never be seen! :D

Especially if you're colour blind like me...

As an artist, I'm sure you'll appreciate this :D

The natural palette used in Flatford Mill is highlighted by Constable's use of red to compliment the greens of the trees and add depth to the greenery which may have otherwise seemed lifeless.
:geek:

(Constable has been my favourite artist since I was a child and I did my GCSE dissertation on him - the whole red and green thing is one of the very few things from my school art lessons that I still remember! And that's 'cause Constable used it to great effect in all of his landscapes :ugeek: )

I know dude, I'm on a wind up  ;)
They 'compliment', in certain shades, almost because they 'clash'. Massively simplified, art is about contrast, light and shade.. or chiaroscuro as the flowery Italians like to say. :ugeek: Using opposites enhances contrast. Of course nothing in real life has an 'edge', it's just the contrast in either light and/or colour between it and the surface that appears next to it. :D
Funnily enough, I took myself off to Flatford Mill when I was at college, to do some Haywain inspired sketching.

To be honest im not entirely sold on the whole red and green thing, but i love green lights. i think it looks pretty good, but at the moment its looking like the plan will be to wrap the whole car matt black. green and black is awesome.

i did want to do the body work in that kind of green and black wrap, but im having trouble finding the right shade for the right price. i think i can do the whole car in matt black for about 40 quid. (not sure how hard wearing the vinyl will be mind but it will be interesting finding out! :D )
