Thanks !
The collection may look good on a forum but in real life I really don't have time to do even minor repairs. Space became a problem too.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

The 1st gen meet was held in September 2010 IIRC. It was in the Beaujolais region (near Lyon) and the idea was from a former member of the French Prelude Club who especially loves 1st gen Preludes. He left the club now and we never took the chance to organise another one like this.
Yeah, massive rust on the Shuttle. I bought it near the Mont-Blanc, people were living at the altitude of 1800m. Of course there's a lot of snow and to prevent black ice on the road, they use massive amounts of salt. Of course, that rusts... this is an extreme example.

Don't trust me, I eat frogs and snails.
Re: Hello from France
I'm doing a bit of an update here.
Regarding my cars, some changed happened compared to what I had in the first post.
- I sold the first gen Prelude
- I sold the stock third gen Prelude
- I got rid of the rotten Shuttle (actually gave it to my dad as it was falling apart - I mean the car not my dad
- he uses it to move around his trailers in the mud and I think it's not even road legal anymore, moreover the clutch gave up)
- Unfortunately I didn't had time to do any major progress on the CRX or the track Prelude.
- I planned to get my "roadcar" Prelude back on the roads in 2013... I think I'm a bit late as work is in progress right now.
- I bought a 1st gen CRV that became my daily driver, it's stock apart from a E85 conversion.
It has an AEM AFR gauge, H22A7 injectors and a P06 ECU with a remap I made using CROME, it was my first doing a tune and I'm glad I succedeed, the engine runs smooth.

There's a reason for an E85 conversion, I wasn't looking after performance (it did add a little bit extra power incidentally) but here in France E85 is half cheaper that regular fuel (SP95) and the extra fuel consumption using E85 doesn't exceed 20% so economically it makes a lot of sense. The drawback is that the stations offering E85 aren't that common, if I plan a road-trip using roads I don't know I have to look the map for E85 stations before getting behind the wheel. Moreover as the fuel tank is small, the autonomy is 350-400 km (220-250 miles).
Regarding myself, I may experience some major changes in my life as my company offered a position in England. That's the main reason for my post here. It's not signed yet but I could move from France to the Warwick area by the end of June. At least for a few months, maybe a year if not more.
I don't know what to do with my cars yet. I have a location to store them in France but they won't be driven that often. They're LHD of course so they would be a bit impractical in UK. Also, I'm in love with the S2000 and UK prices might allow me to buy one sooner than I thought. An ATR is also tempting as a daily driver. But UK insurance prices are really depressing. So, I'm still thinking.
Are there any Lude owners in the Warwick area? (not really I guess, according to the map)
I'd really like to find a place (electricity would be a plus) to work on a project car, is such a place hard to come by in UK?
Any meets coming in the next months? We set up a national Prelude meet every year in France (actually I was in charge of it this year), does this kind of meet exist in UK?

Hi, great pics there.
We have had a national prelude meet over the last few years, organised by LLL. He's moved recently though so doesn't have the right place any more.
Nothing is currently planned. However there are plenty of jap car shows and meets in the UK.
JAE is the big one, 3 days, hundreds of cars, all clubs camp on their own stand. Great fun
We will be there (again). Have a look in the shows/meets section and you'll find the thread.
Finding a place to work on a project car can be very difficult unfortunately, yes - depending on where you live in the country (not so bad if you're somewhere in the depths of Wales/Cumbria etc. but impossible if you're in London and very hard in the south east, for example).
Car prices in the UK might be cheap but landlords over here are money raping bastards with no sense. They'd rather have commercial units sat empty for years (literally) than drop the price by a few quid and get it let to someone earning money
Farmers have lots of empty barns, but they don't trust anyone (at all) so don't let them out, especially if you say you want it for car maintenance.
I searched for years before I found anything sensibly priced, local and prepared to let me work on cars!
