Nice car, welcome to the club :)

I'm glad you said that about the RX-8's my mate wants one and I'm trying to convince him that it's not as good as the 'Lude!

Welcome.

Insurance for a 20 y/o in London on an RX8 and 735i must be interesting

Thanks for the welcome guys!!

And I'm just an average Sainsbury's trolley boy and petrol station employee that's crazy about cars!! No special salary or high paid job, just determination xD

There was no way in hell I was gonna buy a civic!! IMO Preludes are the best type of Vtec's, except for the NSX of course ;) 2.2's have a decent amount of torque and a lovely top end scream.

MPG means drokk all when you buy a sporty car!! I don't get why people buy big engine cars and expect diesel MPG :S The only car that managed this was the Polo which managed 50+ MPG on long runs whilst still retaining "usable" power. In the time that I've owed the prelude, I've managed to get about 50 miles from £15 (11 odd litres). Not sure if that's any good.

The body work has the usual arch rust and and paint needs a touch up. Other than that, the car seems okay. No awkward noises or squeaks.

RX8's are utter crap!!! (although the look the part which is why I had two xD) The MPG is worse than my Supra and it requires a lot of attention to maintain.

Ahhh the thing about insurance is that I "technically" don't live in London lool. I live in Cambridge but work in London ;) However it is still quite expensive though. I currently have 6 points but 1 years no claims lool. I pay £90 a month for the Lude which i'm happy with.

Heres a few more pics of the car and a few of my previous rides:

I'll try and get some more pics of the interior and a close up of the alloys.

More to come soon!!!

Good stuff, especially the comments about the RX8. Know a couple of people who are made keen on getting one and don't rate the Prelude much so I will help to correct the error of their ways! :D

Haha, I'm not saying the RX8 is a bad car by any means at all. It was quite rare when I had mine but now I see them everywhere. The only advantage (if you want to call it that) is that it has RWD but around a track it would be pretty much depend on the drivers skills. IMO 1/4 miles don't define how "fast" a car is.

Yeah, that Supra looks sweet with that kit on! ...and that gets better mileage than an RX-8? That's insane!
