Welcome, from your namesake. :)

Oddly enough, I remember a time, long long ago, on a forum far far away, when it seemed that everyone that owned a lude was either Ben, or Dave. :?

Welcome buddy and, from my own experience, you will find this to be a brilliant and friendly site.

Hi all,

Thanks for your warm welcome, as promised I have uploaded a photo below. Its' an old one from October when I first bought the car. She has had alot of work since then and will get some more added soon. I see from the site a few people have the dreaded rusty arch. I have found a place in oxford that does a real good job and he's old school and made my arches for me. I had all mine done and it was about 250 a corner, if anyone wants the details PM me and ill give you them. I am planning on painting the bonnet soon and have an friend who airbrushes professionally and might get a bit of art added on the bonnet any ideas for designs I'm stuck for ideas and colours!

@Bennyboy I've never really been one for forums but I have been keeping an eye on this site for a few years off and on. I did have the first kitted out MK4 lude in the Cheltenham/ Glos area back in 2002 but have since grown out of wanting to repeat having lights under my car, scrapping the underside on speed humps and being pulled over by the police just as a random stop! I also don't miss people trying to car jack me for the car! It was my pride and joy until some old person drove into it when it was parked 6 weeks after spending 2k on the engine!

@Vtecmec had a look at your project and was really impressed with the results, just out of interest where did you get the rear window rubber from and was it a pain to remove and replace? I've still got the JDM rear window in mine but the rubber Is on its way out and want to get it replaced before it leaks.

@ddoubledanny below is one of my pics ill get some more up as I've been getting alot of work done and really should start documenting it.

@wurlycorner I have had a few problems and even approached Honda to try and source them, they did laugh at me when I went in! I needed a manifold and collector for the MOT recently and resorted to having it welded as a stop gap. I also need a new drivers seat belt as the one in my car is a little to small. I also need a LSD gearbox as mine is starting to crunch in third gear and I will need some injectors soon. I'm not really sure about trusting ebay for those types of item and hear the exhaust for the JDM is different from the normal EU cars. A few of the places I have found I have listed if you have any more that can supply parts for my BB4 I would appreciate it.

Hope to speak with you all soon,
