Bloody quality engine IMO. You can get 150hp put of it with just bolt ons.

Well you guys have certainly given it to him warts an all! :D Made it sound like all of the car's a liability

Everything listed are indeed things that can affect ludes, but just to put it in perspective, don't expect to find that list of problems on one car, so don't be put off going to look at it - they are good, reliable cars!

i hope you find the right one in this one m8 ;) and this was just a list of potholes that others on here have faced :(
and your mot may not be the same but it is in the respect that it is only good for while the car is in being tested, all mot testes will tell you and the police for that matter ;) they don't know what was done to the car 5 mins after it left the garage :!:

have seen people fit borrowed parts to pass mot then swap them back afterwards  just a fact of life that i was always told, never take it for granted that the mot means the car is safe i is just a classic newbie mistake.
believe what you see with your eyes and not what you are told :P

Just to add to HH's post:

You're not going to find the H22A7 in the Prelude unless its been swapped in, I'd pick that over the A8 any day. The A7 is an ATR engine.

If you find a H22A6 I will eat an item of your choosing.

Yep, but the A8 still has the 11:1 pistons and therefore the same potential, it's just dialled down a bit in it's prelude incarnation.
Mine is an A8 for example ;)
