Welcome.

Ref insurance, preludes are not the cheapest car to insure.
Do you have/will you get a UK licence?
Bearing in mind you'll have zero No Claims Bonus, your insurance costs are likely to be fairly high, particularly if you don't have a UK licence as well.
How old are you would be the other major factor.
You can save insurance money by buying a UK car rather than a jap import (they cost a LOT more to insure than the original UK cars!)

Road tax is pretty imaterial really - unless you buy a really modern car with a tiny engine, you won't save much on what it costs to tax a lude.

i dont have a UK driver's license at the moment, but i plan to have one. that's another thing i will have to ask you some tips in the future.
im 30 years old.
how about the MOT ? from what i know the MOT is sort of a anual inspection on the car, right ? how much does it cost ?
can someone give me an approximate cost on the insurance ? how much do you 4th gen owners pay ?

MOT price varies from place to place but It will be around £40 - £45.

I have a Japanese import 4th gen, 30 years old, 4 or 5 years no-claims mirrored over from my other policy and I pay £300 ish 3rd party.

Yep. It makes no difference what car you're taking, it's just down to where you go that the price varies. So whatever car you bought, the cost of MOT would be the same.

Ref car tax, on cars manufactured before 1st March 2001, car tax is this;

Car engine size Standard 12 month rate Six month rate
1549 cc and below £140.00 £77.00
Above 1549 cc £225.00 £123.75
